A Yeti Airlines plane has crashed in Pokhara. The Yeti Airlines ATR-72 plane had flown for Pokhara from Kathmandu at 10.33 am today. There were 68 passengers (60 Nepali nationals, and eight foreign ones) and four crew members including Captains Kamal KC and Anju Khatiwada onboard the aircraft. The passengers included 62 adults, three children and three incapacitated people.
Chief District Officer of Kaski, Tek Bahadur KC informed RSS that the hospital and ambulances have been alerted after information was received that a plane has crashed in the Seti river gorge.
The bodies of 32 people have been removed from Seti river gorge. According to security sources involved in the rescue operation, 32 bodies were removed from the accident site by 11:30.The ship crashed in the Seti River Dobhan behind the old airport.
