The Sudurpaschim Province team and the departmental team have reached the semi-finals of the APF Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s National T20 tournament. The two teams in Group A of the ongoing tournament at the Janata Cricket Ground in Itahari secured their place in the semi-finals after two consecutive wins. Bagmati and Gandaki state teams in this group have been eliminated.
On Monday, Sudurpaschim defeated Gandaki by 9 wickets and the semi-final equation was made. After 2 wins in the group, APF and Sudurpaschim have 4 points each, while Bagmati and Gandaki have not been able to add points.
There is still a match between APF and Sudurpaschim in the group. The winner of this match will determine the group winner. Bagmati and Gandaki will play for the consolation win.
Gandaki, who won the toss and batted first, had a poor performance. Seemana KC, who batted at number three for Gandaki, scored 60 runs losing 9 wickets after playing the entire 20 overs, scoring a whopping 13 runs. Gandaki got 12 extra runs.
Sudurpaschim won by 33 runs against Bagmati Pradesh in their first match. APF has already defeated both Bagmati and Gandaki in the group.
