The election for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives will be held on Saturday, Push 7 . In the meeting of the House of Representatives held on Thursday, senior member Pashupati Shamsher Jabara, who is the Speaker of the House, announced that the election for the post of Deputy Speaker will be held on January 7.
He also instructed the Parliament Secretariat to publish the notice of the election of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Today’s meeting elected CPN-UML MP Devraj Ghimire as Speaker. While 167 votes were casted in favor of Ghimire, Ishwaridevi Neupane of Nepali Congress got 100 votes. Similarly, one vote fell in favor of not supporting anyone.
