NWPP leader Prem suwal demands status of main opposition

MP Prem Suwal of Nepal Majdur Kisan Party (NWPP) has submitted a petition to Speaker Devraj Ghimire demanding recognition of his party as the main opposition party.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Saturday, he mentioned that his party is the largest party among those who did not give a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister and demanded the recognition of the opposition party. He submitted the same request to the Speaker through the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Bharatraj Gautam.

In the general election, Nemkipa got 75 thousand 168 votes while Rashtriya Janamorcha got 46 thousand 504 votes. NWPP has called itself the 11th largest party based on the proportional votes. Since the 10 parties in the front have supported the government, NWPP is demanding that it should be recognized as the main opposition party.
