India has captured the three-match T-20 series against Sri Lanka. India won the series by defeating Sri Lanka by 91 runs in the third match played in Rajkot.
Suryakumar Yadav contributed unbeaten 112 runs in India’s win. Batting first, India scored 228 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 137 runs in 17 overs.
Captain Dashun Shanaka and Kusal Mendis scored 23/23 runs for Sri Lanka. Dhananjay de Silva scored 22 runs and Pathum Nisanka scored 15 runs. Others could not score double-digit runs.
India’s performance in bowling was also good. Arshdeep Singh, who proved costly in the previous match, took 3 wickets in the third match with just 20 runs. Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik and Yuzvendra Chahal took 2 wickets each.
With this victory, India captured the three-match series 2-1. India won the first match by 2 runs. Sri Lanka won the second match by 16 runs.A three-match ODI series will be held between India and Sri Lanka from January 10.
