The 17th food festival is going to be organised in Sauraha of Chitwan on the occasion of Valentine Day. The Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) is organising the food festival on the street of Sauraha from February 12-14.
Programme coordinator Dhurba Giri shared that different types of local and foreign foods would be kept in the food festival. Similarly, local art, culture and attires would also be put on display in the festival.
Arrangement would be made where one can enjoy foods and cultural programmes on the street from Hattichowk to Dyak, added Giri. Likewise, art and culture of indigenous nationalities would also be performed in the evening every day during the festival.
The organiser has expected that around 5,000 tourists would visit the festival and transaction worth Rs 30 million every day during the festival. Educational support would be provided to poor and intelligent students and priority would be given to lessen the use of plastic-made products with an objective of reducing environmental pollution, added the organiser.
