‘Many efforts are being made to destroy the current ruling coalition’

CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that efforts are being made to bring instability to the country. He also mentioned that many efforts are being made to destroy the current ruling coalition.

Chair Oli while inaugurating the 23rd National Convention of All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union, accused various forces of trying to bring instability in the country. ‘Prosperous Nepal and a happy Nepali national aspiration that we have taken cannot be wrong’, he said.

Chair Oli mentioned that UML is the cradle of the country. He said that politics does not follow a straight line as it is a matter of nation building. ‘There is something to be done about the country. Politics does not go in a straight line. I have seen many ups and downs. Ups and downs will come again,’ he said.

Oli asked Akhil to create a disciplined, dynamic and united organization. ‘Akhil is not only the mainstream of Nepal’s student movement but also an organization that has played a political role’, he said. UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel accused foreigners of trying to weaken Nepal’s national politics. UML Standing Committee Member Bhanubhakta Dhakal recalled that students played an important role in Nepal’s political movement.

Chair of All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union,  Sunita Baral mentioned that the convention will be taken as a transformation of the student movement. At the opening ceremony of the convention, Akhil’s senior vice-president RC Lamichhane, Dinesh Shahi, leader of the Nepal Students Association, and others expressed their views. The convention is going to be held after seven years. The convention will elect a new leadership for the next two years.
