Buddha Air introduced a new ATR-72 aircraft

Kathmandu, April 30: Buddha Air, a prominent private sector air service provider company in Nepal, has recently introduced a new aircraft to its ever-expanding fleet. On Friday, the company added the 15th ATR-72 aircraft, a modern and efficient 72-seater plane, to its collection.

According to Buddha Air’s Information Officer, Dipendra Kumar Karna, the company will soon start operating commercial flights with the new aircraft once the necessary paperwork is completed. The addition of this latest aircraft will significantly reduce operation costs, which will lead to a reduction in fares for passengers.

With the latest addition, the number of ATR aircraft in the Buddha Air fleet has now reached fifteen in Nepal, consisting of twelve ATR-72 and three ATR-42 planes. The company had earlier sold its two Beechcraft to a Canadian firm.

Buddha Air plans to expand its services further by adding an additional flight to Dhangadhi and Surkhet destinations, both of which currently have two daily flights. Moreover, preparations are also underway to launch flights from Tumlingtar in Sankhuwasabha, utilizing the ATR-72 aircraft.

The company has announced that it will be acquiring another new aircraft soon, further strengthening its commitment to providing high-quality air services to the people of Nepal.
