Kathmandu, May 5: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timisilsana, has returned home on Friday evening after completing his visit to Cambodia. President Timilsina has returned home after participating in the honor program of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdek Teko Hunsen.
President Timilsina was welcomed at the Tribhuvan Airport by the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Dr. Bharatraj Gautam and the Secretary of the National Assembly, Dr. Surendra Aryal. President Timilsina addressed the event organized by the Asian Cultural Council and the Cambodian Committee on National Festivals and Ceremonies as a special guest.
He met with the Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and his Cambodian counterpart, the Speaker of the Senate Samdek Vivalesna Pekdek Che Sum. In the meeting, there was a discussion about starting a direct air service between Nepal and Cambodia to connect Cambodia, where 97 percent of Buddhists are, and Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. President Timilsina’s visiting party included Member of Bagmati Province Assembly Aman Maske and Federal Parliament Secretariat Deputy Secretary Numraj Khanal.
