Situation in the country is worrying, says UML chair Oli

Kathmandu, May 17: CPN (UML) Chair KP Oli has said that the situation in the country is worrying. He said this while addressing the a program held in Balkhu on Wednesday on the occasion of the 30th Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day.

Chairman Oli did not mince words as he accused the ruling coalition of being solely focused on retaining power. He lamented the coalition’s apparent lack of seriousness when it comes to matters of governance and politics. Oli stated that the current ruling coalition has taken a light-hearted approach to politics, raising doubts about their commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the nation.

Taking direct aim at the Nepali Congress, Chairman Oli expressed his disillusionment with the party. He accused the Nepali Congress of being directionless and devoid of purpose. In a tone tinged with sarcasm, Oli remarked, ‘I know there is a party called the Nepali Congress, which is directionless. I no longer feel like giving it a political name.’

Additionally, Chairman Oli criticized the Nepali Congress for its neglectful and inactive approach, despite its long and storied history in Nepali politics. The UML Chairman expressed disappointment in the party’s failure to live up to its potential, suggesting that it has lost its way in recent times.

Highlighting the nature of the current alliance, Chairman Oli asserted that it was a coalition formed solely to secure power and government.
