Kathmandu: Minister for Health in Bagmati Province, Uttam Joshi, has said ministry focuses on policy making but not on contract and construction. At a programme organized by Senior Citizens’ Association Chitwan today, Minister Joshi reiterated that ministry involves in policy and law making. He further shared that he was working actively to resolve problems in health sector.
He reminded that the hospitals were directed to ensure 10 percent of total beds to the poor and helpless citizens for free treatment as per legal provision. “All 13 districts in Bagmati Province were directed to abide by the legal provision,” Minister Joshi informed, warning of action against the rule violators.
Moreover, the Minister claimed that the province government was for the welfare of every citizen and working to make people realize it. Government is always positive to senior citizens. He urged all sides concerned to respect the rights of senior citizens and learn from their experience and knowledge to make life meaningful. Other speakers spoke on the plights the senior citizens are facing. They also drew the attention of all sides to alleviate the senior citizen’s problems.
