Surface and air travel likely to face disruptions due to rainfall

Kathmandu,June 30: Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms may impact surface and air travel, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has said.In light of this, the Division has strongly advised everyone to take necessary safety precautions.

Today, rainfall is expected in various parts of the country due to the influence of the monsoon wind, it said.Currently, there are reports of light to medium rainfall in certain areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Koshi, and Karnali provinces.This afternoon, there will be widespread changes throughout the country.The Division predicts heavy rainfall in specific areas of Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.

Additionally, storms are likely to occur in parts of Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces, as well as in other remaining provinces. Tonight, general to significant changes are anticipated nationwide.The Division forecasts light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in certain areas of Lumbini, Gandaki, Madhesh, and Koshi provinces.
