Kathmandu: Director Yubaraj Khatri is quite busy nowadays. On the one hand, he is loaded with the works of music videos. On the other hand, he is busy with the Top 10 qualifying round of ‘The Para Voice TikTok Reality Show.’
Khatri has been struggling with time management for both his professional genres. Khatri has contributed his skills as a director and editor in the music video ‘Purnima ko Joon Jhai’ (sung by Himal Sagar and Anu Chaudhary). Khatri is busy with the post-production of the original Nepali movie ‘Duran.’ Khatri is the editor, director, and producer of the movie. He is busy with the preparation for the release of the movie.
Khatri debuted as a film direction in the movie ‘Ni Thangmi Paali’, which is based on the culture and tradition of the tribal Thami tribe. He has directed more than 15 Nepali movies. Ten out of those 15 movies are based upon the Nepalese original caste, language, religion, and culture. His contribution to the preservation of Nepali culture is inspirational.
Khatri has directed more than 1000 music videos. He has contributed his cinematography, and editing skills in most of those projects. He has also acted in some highly acclaimed Nepali music videos.
Khatri was honored with ‘Sagarmatha Music Award’ in 2075 B.S. He has been awarded with hundreds of awards and certificates for his contribution to the music video. His directed and edited tele series have been broadcasted on national TV channels. His documentaries have also become popular in Nepali society.
Khatri was born in a middle-class family, in Tripurasundari-3, Sindhupalchowk. He is fond of Arts and Literature since childhood. Khatri has achieved the heights of a prominent director and editor after paving a long journey of struggles.He said, ‘I have devoted the creative phase of my life to the promotion and preservation of Nepali music. I will keep contributing to Nepali art and culture as far as I can.’
