Kathmndu: With the axis of the monsoon trough extending from the northern to western regions and maintaining an average position towards the east, Nepal finds itself currently under the sway of the monsoon winds. Kathmandu has been graced with continuous rainfall since the early hours of the morning.
According to the forecasts from the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), several provinces within Nepal are bracing for heavy rainfall and the possibility of thunderstorms. This meteorological scenario arises due to the combined influence of the monsoon winds and a low-pressure system located in the vicinity of India’s Jharkhand region.
Anticipating the consequences of this weather pattern, the Division has issued alerts for potential floods and landslides within the provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim over the next 24 hours.Presently, regions primarily situated in the provinces of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki are immersed in ongoing rainfall.
As the day advances, the skies across the country are predicted to transition into a partly cloudy state. Amidst this evolving weather scenario, individuals are strongly advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant to navigate through this period of unsettled atmospheric conditions.
