Janakpurdham, September 22i: The local administration has again imposed curfew in Malangwa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi.The local administration has imposed an indefinite curfew from 10 pm on Thursday following clashes between Hindu and Muslim communities while they were on their way to burn ganesh idols on Thursday evening.
A youth was stabbed during the clash. The condition of the youth is stated to be critical, police said.Chief District Officer of Sarlahi, Indra Dev Yadav, said the curfew order has been issued till further orders as it could lead to more untoward incidents.
Curfew has been issued in the old Malangwa municipality area (Jhim River in the east, Musaili Canal in the west, Nepal-India border area in the south and police post-Baba Petrol Pump) in the north.
The administration has urged people not to move around, gather, move outside and indulge in any kind of unruly activities within the curfew-imposed border areas. It has also warned that the security personnel will take action as per the law by using force as per the requirement.
Earlier, there was a clash between the two communities in the same settlement while burning the idol of Krishnashtami. Subsequently, the local administration imposed curfew and prohibitory orders.
