Kathmandu: Actor Anmol KC has been apprehended on charges of criminal breach of trust. A team of The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him from Sanga, sp Rabindra Regmi said to media.
The producer’s group had lodged a complaint against KC on charges of criminal breach of trust over the controversy in the film ‘Rawayan’. He was taken into custody from Sanga of Bhaktapur at 5:30 pm and taken into custody for further investigation, Regmi sais to media. He did not want to say more about it.
Chandrakala Katuwal, also known as Supriya, had filed the complaint on behalf of the construction company Sudarshan Thapa Productions Pvt Ltd. Regmi informed that an arrest warrant was issued against Anmol a few days ago on the basis of the complaint. Police arrested him from Sanga on the basis of information.
SSP Somendra Singh Rathore, chief of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, said KC had taken Rs 1 million through a bank transfer to play the film. But he did not want to play the film.
He also said that rs 10.5 million has already gone to the market for this film. Ssp Rathore told to media, ‘He did not come despite being called for discussion several times after receiving the complaint.’
Rathore said that 65 technicians have also been left stranded in the face of Dashain as kc’s investment is in jeopardy due to not playing the film.
