Kathmandu,: Chair of Janamat Party, CK Raut has alleged that the School Education Bill 2080 is against federalism. Speaking during a discussion on the bill in the House of Representatives on Friday, Raut said the bill was against federalism.
‘The Public Service Commission is in the state. Civil services are being done at the local level. In such a situation, the Secondary Education Board should not be kept in the center or union. At least it should be kept up to the province,’ he said, adding, ‘Bringing the District Education Office was seen as an anti-federalism activity that the union was trying to control.’ It should also be abolished. ’
He also questioned the provision of reservation in the bill. ‘I am surprised that the Bill brought by the Maoist-led government, which talks about class movement, has made provisions for reservation only on the basis of caste’,Raut said. He demanded that there should be arrangements in every cluster like the arrangement of low-income Khas Arya in Khas Arya Cluster.
