Kathmandu,02 November: Nepal has lost its last match of the group stage under the World Cup qualifiers. Nepal lost to Oman by 5 runs in the match held on Thursday.
Chasing a target of 146 runs, The Nepali team scored 140 runs losing all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Nepal needed 26 runs in the last over.
Kushal Bhurtel scored 26 runs and Bibek Yadav scored 39 runs for Nepal. Rohit Poudel, Sandeep Jora and Sompal Kami were dismissed for 12 runs each.
Asif Sheikh could score only 5 runs. Gulshan Jha scored 3 runs. Nepal has reached the semi-finals as group runners-up. Oman is the group winner.
