Kathmandu: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced a temporary halt in power supply to several areas in Kathmandu on Saturday morning. The disruption is attributed to the scheduled upgrade of a 45 MVA capacity transformer in the Teku substation.
According to NEA, the affected areas during the power outage will include the Health Service Department premises, Bhimsensthan, Ramghat, Maruhiti, Dhokatol, Kshetrapati Chowk, Dhalko, Bramhatol, and Jaisiewal Chowk.
Additionally, neighborhoods such as Jhabahal, Chikumangal, Jhose, Ombahal, Bhotebahal, Yangal, Lagan, Mahabuddha, Bhotahiti, Ason, Bangemudha, Indra Chowk, Sundhara, Central Jail, Rangashala, New Road, Basantpur Durbar Square, Rabibhavan, Soltimode, Sunargaon, Army Hospital, Nakhhu Chowk, Bagdol, Dhobidhara, Malpokhari, Dhobighat, and other areas will experience temporary power cuts. The power interruption is scheduled to take place from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
