Kathmandu,18 Dec: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today took the opportunity to advise Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah on the importance of actively listening to others.PM Dahal’s remarks came after Kathmandu Mayor Balen got up and walked away at a program in Lalitpur on Monday.
Addressing the foundation day of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality as the chief guest, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his frustration, stating, “Balendraji first spoke and walked. I feel a little irritated with those who talk speak and walk away without listening to others.”

He questioned Mayor Balen’s commitment, asking, “How many times did you meet with us for those problems in Singha Durbar? Who else can you get a supportive Prime Minister like me?”PM Dahal encouraged Balen to recognize the importance of collaboration and engagement with the federal government.
Mayor Balen had earlier expressed concerns about the lack of support from the Federal Government regarding waste management and river encroachment. In response, Prime Minister Dahal encouraged open communication and dialogue, urging officials to work together to address challenges and foster a more cooperative approach to governance.
