Kathmandu, Dec 29: Another youth was also killed in a clash during a protest by youths after they failed to appear for the Employment Permit System (EPS) examination to go to Korea. Birendra Shah, who was undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital, also died, central police spokesperson Kuber Kathayat told to media.
Earlier, 23-year-old Sujan Raut died while undergoing treatment at Kist Hospital. Earlier, police had said that Raut was shot dead, but tests conducted by the hospital did not show any bullet injury. Instead, there is a scar on the chest.
According to the EPS office, youths who have filled the examination form for the shipping company cannot take the exam for other areas. The youths had moved the court against the decision of not allowing those who had appeared for the examination in the shipping company but failed to fill the form.
The court had also ordered them to participate in the examinations in the productive and agricultural sectors. The EPS office had called only those who filed the writ petition in the court to apply. Other students can’t fill the form .
