Kathmandu,Dec 30, 2023: Lalitpur City FC defeated Dhangadhi FC 3-2 in the final to win the second edition of The Nepal Super League (NSL). Lalitpur defeated Lalitpur 1-0 at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Saturday.
Dhangadhi took the lead in the 37th minute through Afiz Olawale. However, dhangadhi’s lead did not last long. In the first half, Imoh Ijekel scored a goal to bring Lalitpur back into the game.
Ahmed Hijazi scored a goal in injury time to make Dhangadhi 3-2, but could not avoid the team’s defeat.Earlier, Dhangadhi was included in 10 players in the 80th minute after Aagemang received a red card.
Dhangadhi finished runners-up for the second time in a row. Dhangadhi had finished runners-up after losing to Kathmandu Rangers in the final of the first edition.
