Election process for National Assembly chairperson underway

Kathmandu, March 12: The election process for the post of National Assembly Chairman is in underway.

Two candidates have filed their candidacies for the post of president. Narayan Prasad Dahal from the ruling alliance and Yubaraj Sharma from the opposition alliance have filed their candidacies.

Ananda Prasad Dhungana of Nepali Congress has presented a proposal to elect Yubaraj Sharma as the chairman of the National Assembly.Stating that he had struggled for a long time in Nepali politics, he said he was eligible for the post of chairman of the National Assembly and sought votes.
