Kathmandu, March 13: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has received the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives for a third time. He secured the vote of confidence for the third time in the House of Representatives on Wednesday after Nepali Congress (NC) withdrew its support to the Dahal-led government on March 5.
In response to his call for a vote of confidence in the HoR, PM Dahal received 157 votes. He managed to get majority votes with the support of political parties in parliament including the CPN-UML.
A total of 157 votes were cast in favor of the prime minister and 110 against him, while one lawmaker abstained from voting. Altogether 268 MPs were present in the HoR meeting today.
