Govt. to make diplomatic efforts to claim Nepali territory

Kathmandu, March 19: The government is to take effective diplomatic move to take back Nepali territory of Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, Kalapani, Susta and other sites. The Common Minimum Policy Priorities and Resolve of the new coalition made public on Tuesday has stated to include this issue.

“Nepal’s nationality, sovereignty, territorial indivisibility, independence, pride and safeguarding national interests will be kept at the centre,” the Common Minimum Policy Priorities and Resolve of the government reads.Likewise, Nepal’s foreign policy will be guided by the UN Charter, principle of Panchasheel, concept of the world peace, international commitment and rule-based independent, neutral and non-aligned foreign policy.

Similarly, a balanced, credible and friendly ties with both the neighbouring countries and all friendly countries will be run by keeping sovereign equality, mutual interests and respects at the centre.The document has stated to review the existing treaties and agreements to protect and promote Nepal’s national interests and effectively manage the borders.

Furthermore, the government has announced to address the genuine concerns of the non-resident Nepalis while utilizing their skills and capital for the cause of national interests.
