Kathmandu: Nepal defeated Irish team in the second match played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground on Tuesday. Ireland ‘A’ scored 127 runs for the loss of all wickets in 18.3 overs. The Irish team needed 91 runs in the last five overs.
Nepal’s Kushal Malla made an all-round performance against Ireland. He took 3 wickets for 15 runs in 3 overs.Earlier, he scored 34 runs in 13 balls. Sompal Kami also took three wickets for 17 runs in 2.3 overs. Kushal Bhurtel, Bibek Yadav and Karan KC also took one wicket each.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and batted first and scored 198 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Gulshan Jha (46), Rohit Poudel (33), Kushal Bhurtel (25) and Sandeep Jora (21) were the top scorers. Nepal won the first match by 6 wickets.
