UML’s Suhang wins by-election in Ilam-2

Ilam: Suhang Nemwang of CPN-UML secured a resounding victory in the by-election for the member of the House of Representatives in Ilam Constituency No. 2.

Nemwang clinched the win by defeating his closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka, with a significant margin of 5,830 votes.

This victory marks a continuation of political legacy for the Nemwang family, as Suhang’s father, Subash Nemwang, previously represented Ilam 2 in the House of Representatives.

Following Subash Nemwang’s unfortunate passing lasy year, the by-election was convened on April 27 to fill the vacant seat.
