HoR Meeting Postponed Until Sunday Amid Opposition Obstruction

Kathmandu, May 17: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been postponed to Sunday at 11 AM, as announced by the Federal Parliament Secretariat. Today’s meeting, initially scheduled for 11 AM and then postponed to 2 PM, could not convene at either time.

According to the Secretariat, the Speaker adjourned the meeting after discussions with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and opposition party leaders. The Speaker expressed confidence that the upcoming meeting will be conducted in a cordial atmosphere.

The Nepali Congress, which demands the formation of a parliamentary probe committee against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane regarding a cooperative fraud case, has been consistently obstructing parliamentary proceedings.
