Kathmandu: The Weather Forecasting Division has announced that the Monsoon low-pressure line near Nepal will begin moving southward today.As a result, there is expected to be a decrease in rainfall across Nepal due to reduced monsoon activity.
Currently, weather conditions are gradually changing nationwide.Areas in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing light to moderate rainfall, with one or two places in other provinces also receiving similar precipitation.
The Division has forecasted light to moderate rain in most parts of the Koshi and Gandaki regions, and heavy rain in isolated areas.Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may also experience light to moderate rainfall in certain locations.
Later today, there is a possibility of heavy to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in scattered areas across all provinces. In light of these forecasts, the Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions, as there is a heightened risk of landslides and potential impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, and transportation.
