Kathmandu: KP Oli, Chairman of CPN-UML, is set to become Prime Minister today.President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to appoint Oli to the role on Sunday.
However, the Office of the President has confirmed that Oli’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Monday evening.Following the oath-taking ceremony, he will assume the responsibilities of the Prime Minister.
Oli lodged his claim for the Prime Minister’s position on Friday evening, accompanied by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, at Sheetal Niwas. The claim, endorsed by 166 MPs from UML and NC, was submitted to the President’s office.
