Kathmandu: This year’s monsoon-related disasters have claimed the lives of 154 people across Nepal. According to the Nepal Police Headquarters News Room, landslides, floods, and inundations have resulted in the following fatalities: three in Kathmandu Valley, 25 in Koshi, six in Madhes, 20 in Bagmati, 43 in Gandaki, 29 in Lumbini, eight in Karnali, and 10 in Sudurpaschim Province.
The disasters have also left 47 people missing and 186 injured. Floods have caused waterlogging in 384 houses, while 261 houses, 95 huts, 43 bridges, two school buildings, and two government offices have sustained damage. Additionally, the monsoon has displaced 4,238 families since June 10.
