Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), India, Aug 17: A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Nepal Academy and Banarus Hindu University, Varanasi India, Department of Indian Languages, Faculty of Art, to conduct research on Nepali language, literature, culture and philosophy.
The MoU was signed by Member-Secretary of the Academy Dr Dhanprasad Subedi and Prof Diwakar Pradhan, Head of Department of Indian Languages at the University. Both sides have agreed through the MoU to hold interaction and exchange programs on Nepali language, literature and philosophy between Nepali and Indian Nepali literary figures and institutions.
Both sides have also agreed to cooperate in the field of research and translation for the promotion and growth of Nepali language. Accordingly, the Academy will provide scholarship for the research students studying in the Department of Indian Language along with internship.
