Kathmandu, Sept 18: An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude hit Bajhang district today morning.
The tremor occurred at 10:08 am with the epicenter at Majhigaun in the district, according to the Nepal Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur, Kathmandu.
The Centre reports that earthquakes have been occurring frequently in Nepal lately. As Nepal is situated in the Himalaya region, it is recognized as one of the seismically most active country. Prior to this, a mild quake had struck off Taplejung district with epicenter at Lhonak in the district on September 15.
