Disaster-induced death toll climbs to 242, 22 still missing

Kathmandu, Oct 2: A total of 242 people have died due to the latest natural disaster that struck the country recently. Another, 22 people are still missing while 128 people are injured due to floods, landslides and inundation.

According to the Armed Police Force of Nepal, 110 people have died in Kathmandu Valley, 118 in Bagmati province, 23 in Koshi Province, eight in Madhes and two in Lumbini.

Likewise, a total of 1,769 houses and 55 bridges have been damaged across the country due to floods and landslides. The Armed Police Force rescued 13,129 people trapped as a result of the disaster.
