Biratnagar : On the occasion of the 69th Police Day, the Managing Director of Sundarharaincha Update, Shiva Bhattarai Bhojpure, has been honored for his contribution to Nepal Police in crime investigation. In an event held in Biratnagar, Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki honored journalist Bhattarai with a letter of appreciation. Journalist Bhattarai has thanked the Koshi Police Office for honoring him. Bhattarai said that this honor gave him the courage to work energetically for the society in the future. Bhattarai says, “The honor given to him by the police office while appreciating his contribution in the field of security has further encouraged the propagation of truth and investigative journalism in the society.”
“69th Police Day 2081” was celebrated with grandeur by organizing various programs in Koshi Province Police Office Biratnagar and district police offices under Koshi Province. The special program organized at Koshi State Police Office Biratnagar premises was conducted under the special hospitality of Koshi State Chief Minister Karki and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Leela Vallabh Adhikari. In the program, Inspector General of Police Basant Bahadur Kunwar’s message of greetings to all police personnel on the occasion of Police Day was read by Senior Superintendent of Police Bhim Bahadur Dahal of Koshi Province Police Office, Biratnagar, and all the guests including the chief guests were welcomed.
In the program, Chief Minister Karki honored the land donors who provided free land for the police office, those who helped in the police work and the representatives of various organizations, the founders of legislative awards. He also awarded awards and certificates to police personnel who excelled in various categories. While addressing the program after the award distribution, he paid tribute to the immortal policemen and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He expressed the respect to all policemen for the protection of people’s life and wealth and maintaining peace and security in the society despite the lack of resources and physical infrastructure.
