Kathmandu, 6 December: Lumbini Lions have set a target of 171 runs for Pokhara Avengers in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). After Pokhara won the toss and elected to field, Lumbini, who batted first, scored 170 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Rohit scored 95 runs in the match. Rohit, who was run out on the last ball, hit 10 fours and 4 sixes in 59 balls. This score is a personal high score in the ongoing NPL.
Murs had a partnership of 110 runs with Rohit in the toss. Due to which Lumbini’s run picked up momentum. Murs scored 45 runs in 38 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes before being dismissed on the last ball of the 19th over.
Before that, both Lumbini’s openers were out for a duck. Ashutosh Ghiraiya returned to the pavilion on the third ball of the innings and Unmukt Chand returned to the pavilion on a run of zero in the third over. Both their wickets were taken by Pokhara’s Bipin Khatri. He trapped Ashutosh LBW and Chand was caught by Raymond Rifle.Sandeep Jora was dismissed for 18 runs. Jora hit 2 fours and 1 six in 15 balls before being caught lbw by Pokhara’s Matt Critchley.
Pokhara’s Bipin Khatri took two wickets in the bowling. Pokhara lost both matches in the tournament while Lumbini lost their first match. So both teams are looking for their first win.
