Kathmandu: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has been taken into police custody. Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi was also taken into police custody.
Lingden was detained by police from Singha Durbar, the government administrative complex, amid the party’s ongoing protest program.
Earlier today, RPP leaders and cadres had marched toward New Baneshwor, entering the restricted zone while staging a symbolic protest against what they called “government authoritarianism.”
