Rain and Windstorm likely to occur in some places

Kathmandu: The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Nepal is currently experiencing the combined effects of westerly and local winds, along with partial influence from moisture-laden air entering from the Arabian Sea.

According to the Division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the hilly regions, while other areas remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. Light rain has been recorded at one or two locations in the Himalayan region.

For this afternoon, hilly areas—including Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces—are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with the rest of the country seeing partly cloudy conditions.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely in several hilly areas, particularly in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and in isolated spots elsewhere. Light snowfall with rain is also possible in one or two areas of the Himalayas.Additionally, there is a chance of rain with windstorms in some parts of Madhes and Lumbini Provinces.

Tonight, hilly regions will continue to see partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.There is a chance of light rain with lightning at isolated locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, as well as light snowfall with rain in one or two mountainous areas.
