Jumla, May 21: A young man from Jumla who had gone to Patan, Dolpa to collect Yarsa, has passed away on Wednesday. Locals said that Bhim Bahadur Bohara of Mani Sanghu, Guthichaur Rural Municipality-1, died of altitude sickness on Wednesday.
According to the District Police Office, Jumla, initial reports show that he suffered from altitude sickness at Jagadulla Patan, Jagadulla Rural Municipality -1 of Dolpa district. Bhim Bahadur succumbed to altitude sickness at Guthichaur Rural Municipality-1, on the way home.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Jumla, Rabin Babu Regmi, as per relatives, Bhim Bahadur has passed away, but the cause is yet to be ascertained. After an investigation by a team of police, including Police Inspector Rohit Raisaili deployed at the site, will shed light on to cause of death.
Locals said that Bhim Bahadur suffered altitude sickness around 2 PM on Wednesday and died while bringing him home for treatment.
