Kathmandu – A protester wounded during violent clashes in New Baneswor has died while receiving treatment, officials at Civil Service Hospital confirmed.
The individual, who reportedly suffered gunshot injuries, succumbed to their wounds on Monday. Authorities have yet to release the protester’s identity.
Over 100 others injured in the confrontation are currently being treated at the hospital, as unrest continues to intensify in the capital.
The protests, driven by Nepal’s Gen-Z movement, have seen escalating confrontations between demonstrators and security forces in recent days, with Baneswor emerging as a flashpoint for the youth-led agitation.
