Gold prices extend upward trend

Kathmandu: Gold prices continued their upward momentum on Sunday, increasing by Rs 2,200 per tola compared to last Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders, gold is currently being traded at Rs 258,800 per tola. Silver, meanwhile, is priced at Rs 3,825 per tola. On Friday, gold had been traded at Rs 256,600 per tola, while the price of silver stood at Rs 3,905 per tola.

In the international market, gold is trading at around US$ 4,299 per ounce, while silver is being bought and sold at approximately US$ 62 per ounce, according to international media reports.
