Kathmandu — Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, who had filed his nomination from Gorkha-2 on behalf of the Progressive Democratic Party, has withdrawn his candidacy.
He stated that he decided to withdraw the nomination he had registered in order to support parties with new strength and forward-looking ideas.
However, he has not announced support for any specific party. On Thursday, Dr. Bhattarai held discussions with Lekhnath Neupane, who is a candidate from Gorkha-2 representing the Nepal Communist Party.
