Kathmandu: Gold prices in the domestic market posted a modest gain on Tuesday, following a sharp increase recorded the previous day.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association reported that the price of gold rose by Rs 900 per tola to reach Rs 305,500 per tola on Tuesday.
A day earlier, gold prices had jumped by Rs 4,100 per tola to Rs 304,600, while the price stood at Rs 300,500 per tola on Sunday.
In contrast, silver prices edged down slightly. Silver, which was traded at Rs 5,250 per tola on Monday, declined by Rs 10 to Rs 5,240 per tola on Tuesday, according to the federation.
