Kathmandu, Feb 13: The operators and experts behind Nepal’s own social media platform, Global Diary, have stated that they are working to achieve their goal of expanding the platform nationwide within five years. They said the platform is currently growing rapidly across Nepal and, after becoming a preferred medium nationwide, they plan to move gradually toward global expansion. On the occasion of surpassing 400,000 users, the company officially held its first press conference on Magh 28 (Wednesday) at AlphaBeta Complex in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

The press conference was organized to publicly share the objectives, services, future plans, and key topics related to the national digital sector of Global Diary, a domestic digital social networking and information technology platform. According to him, Global Diary is a visionary digital initiative created to address this reality. The AI-powered digital ecosystem built in Nepal aims to connect users, businesses, and government bodies on a single structured digital platform, making digital access simple, affordable, and reliable. He added, “Global Diary is not just the use of technology; it is Nepal’s journey toward digital self-reliance.”

Global Diary announced lucky draw offers for its first 100,000 verified users and 50,000 verified businesses, including smartphones, a car, smartwatches, and five motorcycles. The company also stated it is running a College Adventures Program and has partnered with more than 70 colleges. In the near future, Global Diary plans to launch digital marketing services to make markets more accessible for businesses and entrepreneurs.
Agrahari emphasized that everyone shares the responsibility to make this project a matter of national pride. He advised new entrepreneurs that expensive plans are not necessary in the early stage and that the free plan is sufficient. He encouraged new businesses to first create a business page to increase direct customer engagement and promote their brand digitally. Regularly posting about products and services was also recommended to attract potential customers and increase sales.

Senior journalist and board member of the National News Agency Krishna Prasad Adhikari urged journalists and businesspeople to join Global Diary, expressing confidence that it could become one of Nepal’s best platforms and useful for media organizations.
