Kathmandu: The Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the fixed rates, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 145.23, while the selling rate stands at NPR 145.83.
Similarly, the buying rate for one euro is NPR 171.10 and the selling rate NPR 171.80. The UK pound sterling has a buying rate of NPR 195.94 and a selling rate of NPR 196.75, while the Swiss franc has been fixed at NPR 187.72 for buying and NPR 188.50 for selling.
The Australian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 102.39 and a selling rate of NPR 102.81. The Canadian dollar stands at NPR 105.96 (buying) and NPR 106.39 (selling), while the Singapore dollar has been set at NPR 114.67 (buying) and NPR 115.14 (selling).
For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.32 and the selling rate NPR 9.36. The Chinese yuan is set at NPR 21.11 (buying) and NPR 21.20 (selling). The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at NPR 38.71 (buying) and NPR 38.87 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is NPR 39.73 (buying) and NPR 39.90 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.68 and a selling rate of NPR 4.70. The UAE dirham is set at NPR 39.54 (buying) and NPR 39.70 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.30 (buying) and NPR 37.45 (selling), and 100 South Korean won at NPR 10.07 (buying) and NPR 10.11 (selling). The Swedish krona has been fixed at NPR 16.01 (buying) and NPR 16.08 (selling), while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.90 (buying) and NPR 23.00 (selling).
Furthermore, the Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of NPR 18.57 and a selling rate of NPR 18.64. The Kuwaiti dinar is set at NPR 475.38 (buying) and NPR 477.35 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at NPR 385.17 (buying) and NPR 386.77 (selling), and the Omani riyal at NPR 377.25 (buying) and NPR 378.80 (selling). The exchange rate for INR 100 has been fixed at NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
