Petroleum prices increased

Kathmandu – Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products in Nepal. The corporation stated that the price hike was made due to rising costs in the international market and pressure on supply management.

According to the corporation, the revised prices have been adjusted and implemented from today.

Following the adjustment, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 3 per litre, diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per litre, and liquefied petroleum (LP) gas used for cooking by Rs 216 per cylinder.

With the new rates in effect, petrol now costs Rs 188 per litre, diesel Rs 196 per litre, and LP gas Rs 2,126 per cylinder.

The corporation stated that the price adjustment was made in Nepal based on the latest price list received from the international supplier in line with rising global market prices.
