46,000 vaccinated against japanese encephalitis in Nawalparasi East

Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi) – A total of 46,778 individuals have been vaccinated so far under the special immunization campaign against Japanese Encephalitis in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

Among those vaccinated, 19,109 are पुरुष (male) and 27,669 are female. The campaign, which is being conducted simultaneously across all eight local levels of the district, has shown notable progress. According to Keshav Chapagain, Chief of the Provincial Public Health Office, 31.1 percent of the target population had received the vaccine as of Tuesday.

The vaccination drive is being carried out effectively across the district in coordination with local governments. Public Health Officer Prabin Kumar Khanal stated that immunization services are being regularly provided in all local levels. Significant progress has been observed particularly in Madhyabindu Municipality and Baudikali Rural Municipality, where vaccination coverage has reached 49.8 percent and 47 percent respectively.

The campaign, targeting citizens above 35 years of age, has been conducted from Chaitra 1 to 5 following a recent rise in infection rates of Japanese Encephalitis in the district. The program aims to vaccinate approximately 150,000 individuals. Authorities have urged all eligible المواطنين नागरिकहरू to visit their nearest vaccination centers and receive the vaccine.
