Kathmandu: At present, Nepal is under the influence of a westerly low-pressure system along with local winds. Currently, most parts of the Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, are experiencing generally cloudy conditions.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, some places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, along with a few locations in other provinces, are witnessing moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country. The Division has stated that many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, have a likelihood of moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds.
Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi Province and other provinces, as well as at one or two locations in the remaining hilly regions.
