Kathmandu: Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy today to Arjun Narsingh KC, the वरिष्ठ-most member elected to the House of Representatives.
The swearing-in ceremony is set to take place at 11:15 AM today at the President’s Office in Shital Niwas. Among those elected in the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21, KC is the senior-most member.
In the House of Representatives elections, 165 members were elected through the first-past-the-post system, while 110 members were elected under the proportional representation system.
KC, a lawmaker from the Nepali Congress, was elected through the proportional representation system. As the senior-most member, KC is also scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected members of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Chaitra 12.
