Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of westerly winds as well as local winds. As a result, the hilly and Himalayan regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and Lumbini Provinces are generally experiencing cloudy conditions, while the remaining Terai regions are witnessing partly cloudy weather.
At present, some areas of Gandaki Province, along with a few locations in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and Lumbini Provinces, are experiencing moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall.
This afternoon, the Himalayan regions across the country are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the hilly and Terai regions will see partly cloudy conditions.
